Passage: Exodus 16:1-17:6
A few months ago, I mentioned a prayer that I heard while I was in Africa. A little girl stood with the single plate of food she would receive for the next few days and said, “Dear God, I asked you for my daily bread and you have come through for me again.” Her prayer touched my heart as I realized how often I take God’s provision for granted. I was humbled as I realized how often I complain about what I have because it is never enough for my voracious need of more. This week on The Road Out, we’ll see how God provides, time after time, for the needs of his people. We’ll get a great picture of how NOT to respond to God’s provision. Hopefully, we will choose to respond the right way – with gratitude, stewardship and generosity.
