Passage: John 14:6

Lies Title Graphic - Sermon GraphicI have lived in Whatcom County for over 15 years and I have noticed something: there are a lot of really nice people around here. I’m not saying this to blow smoke or to flatter people. In fact, I am saying it more as a warning than a compliment. I run into many nice people whose niceness has blinded them (and the people they’re nice to) to a lie. It’s a lie that says, “As long as you’re nice, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to eternity.” Put another way, “God grades on a curve.” I call this lie The Beautiful Lie because it just sounds so good on the outside. In truth, I believe that this may be the most lethal lie we will talk about in the whole series because it’s rooted in heartfelt sincerity. Listen as we find together the truth about how God judges in our series “Lies: Be Careful What You Believe.”
