The people of Jerusalem were excited! Everything was about to change because a king had come to deliver them. Rome would be overthrown and all of their hopes would be realized. They lined the streets shouting, “Hosanna – God Save Us!” But a few days later, with that same king under arrest and facing execution, the people of Israel were in a place that many of us find ourselves – disappointed. They faced a tough question: what do you do when you’re disappointed with God? What do you do when a prayer goes unanswered? What do you do when you are doing everything you know to do, and life gets harder instead of better?
