God describes the community of believers as family and says that that our defining characteristic will be our love for each other. Even in a big church, we want to be good at taking care of each other. Regardless of our past or present, most of us will face moments when we need someone to walk a specific path with us. Someone who will offer care that we can’t find anywhere else. We want to be a church that cares for people – and helps people care for one another. We have many ways for different people with different passions and gifting to serve as part of one of our prayer opportunities and/or Care Network Ministries. Information is also included on how to receive prayer or timely care and help.
The CTK Blessing is an opportunity for the people of CTK to bless others with various forms of support. Your generous giving allows us to help a number of CTK families and individuals who experience legitimate and serious needs each year.
If you would like to give to the CTK Blessing, visit our give page. Be sure to designate "CTK Blessing" when prompted.
There are four ways you can be involved in prayer at CTK. Learn more about the After Service Prayer Team, Corporate Prayer Requests, Individual Prayer Requests, and the 24/7 Prayer Initiative.
We want to come alongside you or your family member during a hospitalization or when ongoing care needs arise. This is a great opportunity to pray with others, be a comforting presence and show Christ’s love (training provided). Visits can be before, during or after a hospitalization and most team members choose a day of the week to commit to doing visits. There is also the opportunity for ongoing visits with people who find themselves in a rehab facility, hospice or other assisted living arrangement.
Contact Julie Scherer if you are interested in joining the visitation team.
Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting? Would you like a meaningful reason to get together with others to enjoy your hobby? Join a group to make lap blankets so we can share a tangible gift of comfort to people at difficult times in their lives. We have a group that meets the first and third Thursday mornings from 10 AM to noon.
If you or another CTK family member is going through a difficult time—maybe an illness, treatment, or health transition—please let us know! We would love to provide a shawl as a token of our prayers and a small blessing of comfort as another way CTK can offer care.
