Passage: Proverbs 6:6-11
After reviewing my notes for this coming weekend, I thought I should call this week’s message, “A Bug’s Life.” After all, I am going to be talking about ants and slugs! But upon further review, I think maybe I’ll go with “Insect Integrity.” At this point, some of you are thinking that I have finally lost it. However, in my defense, I would refer you to Proverbs 6 before you call my wife to ask if I’m OK.
In Proverbs 6, God puts a label on the person who refuses to honor God and add value to His name through sweat equity. God calls him a sluggard. And after he names him, God tells the sluggard that he needs to spend some time watching… ants. I am not kidding! Listen in as we meet the “slug of scripture” and follow him on his field trip to an ant hill.
