It was a funeral procession. The rule was to pull to the side out of respect, and just let it go by. But Jesus couldn't just let it go by. He stopped it. Everyone cringed because you just didn't do that. Ever. But then he spoke a word, and the cringe moment was transformed into a celebration of life. This week we see Jesus stop death in its tracks and breathe life into an extremely awkward situation.
