PRAYER LETTER

from CTK Ferndale
The new year is upon us! Thank you for your faithfulness in praying fervently. I believe that as the church prays God moves. God has a plan to use this church in reaching Ferndale and the surrounding Whatcom County Area.

1. Begin with a time of thanksgiving. There is no shortage of things to be thankful for. Some ideas are life, family, church, the many blessings… etc. As you thank the Lord for each thing that comes to mind, speak it, and pause. Those moments of lingering will move your heart to be more fully aligned with Christ’s.
2. Pray for families. Pray God would bring comfort and peace to the broken hearted. Pray against depression. Pray for unity and reconciliation amongst family. Bring specific names to Jesus as they come to your mind.
3. Pray for our church as we focus our efforts on shining for Jesus in our community. Pray for the Ferndale Food Bank as they provide food for the hungry. Pray for our schools and the “Be the One” mentoring program. Pray for opportunities for you to be blessing to your neighbors and co-workers.
4. Pray for the kids of CTK, from nursery to high school. These are vital ministries as they sculpt and build foundations that will last a lifetime. Ask Jesus to bring in volunteers to help in all these areas. Pray for finances to keep these ministries moving forward.
5. Pray for salvation of the lost. Pray that hearts are softened and obstacles to receiving Jesus are moved. Bring to God names of those you know who do not yet know Jesus.
6. End with more time of Thanksgiving. Thank God for the things as they come to your mind. Linger there. He is Good!!

I love that we are a people who know how to pray! Great things are in store.

- Pastor Adam

Prayer for Whatcom County and the World – March-April 2024

Praise and Worship – Galatians 5:16-17, 22-25

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.”

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” (NLT)

This prayer guide focuses on praying the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT over each part of our community.

First Pray for your Family – Church - City - Schools.

Pray for the unique setting your church has as a part of the body of Christ. Pray for the body of Christ to grow in expressing God’s heart to the community.  The Fruits of the Spirit do not grow one at a time.  In God’s design all 9 aspects of His character grow in us individually, as a family, church and county-wide body all at the same time.

FATHER, GROW YOUR FRUIT IN US, YOUR BODY, THE CHURCH OF WHATCOM COUNTY.

Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.”
