At CTK, community is central to everything we do. In fact, our mission statement starts with the goal to "create authentic Christian community." One of the primary ways that we do this is through discipleship groups, which meet on various nights throughout the week.
What is a disciple? A disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus & leading others to do the same. Discipleship is what happens when someone intentionally partners with you on this journey. Having someone come alongside you is so important because at the end of the day, it's not systems, programs or events that make disciples, people do. These people are ordinary men and women like you who are also on the same journey of following Jesus.
Every group consists of 3-6 people and is led by someone who is a little further along in their discipleship journey. Most groups meet once a week. These meetings consist of prayer and going over Scripture. Plus, there's a lot of just talking about life and being there to encourage one another along the way.
The model for a successful group has three basic ingredients:
Do life together: be real, share your life and learn about others.
Biblical truth: what does the bible say about the topic you're studying? What is God saying in the scripture you're reading.
Prayer: how can we pray for you today?

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to allow us to become free from life's hurts, hang-ups and habits. By working through the 8 biblical-based recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and the Christ-centered 12-steps with Jesus as your higher power, you'll restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God, and you'll find that you can and will change!
You'll begin to experience the true peace and serenity you've been seeking, and you'll no longer have to rely on your dysfunctional, compulsive, and addictive behaviors as a temporary fix for your pain.
