Doctrine, Part 12: The Church

The world always seems to be looking for the next big thing. The next giant breakthrough. The next monumental effort. Go big or go home. Without even knowing it, we can fall into the trap of looking at our relationships with God and others the same way. But all through scripture, Jesus keeps pointing us to the small prayers, the small steps of faith, and the small acts of kindness that, surprisingly, bring the greatest results. What we begin to see is that small things, done consistently, end up having the greatest spiritual impact.

Small Things, Part 1: Starting Small

Humanity wants to go big. But God keeps going small.

Many of us feel like we're drowning in life, sinking deeper every day into a watery grave of disappointment, regret, despair and sin. But the simple wonder of Easter is that Jesus overpowered sin and death. And by that same power, he can meet our deepest need - to be rescued, to be revived, to be raised to life.
