Belize Restoration Homes

What is Human Trafficking? Modern day slavery, or human trafficking, is more prevalent than
many realize.

49.6 million people are estimated to be living in modern-day slavery worldwide.
Women and girls forced into commercial sex acts to the profit of a trafficker; men and children
coerced into working in hazardous conditions under debt bondage and unfair wages… These
are just a few examples of the different types of trafficking that exist in the world today.

Amidst a tropical paradise, the country of Belize hides a dark and horrific industry fueled by
tourists and seasonal workers looking for cheap entertainment.

Areas such as San Pedro, Punta Gorda, and Belize City are teeming with predators looking to
exploit “exotic” minors and vulnerable children who are desperate to support their families or
their own education at whatever cost. And the cost is great.

AIM is in Belize to fight sex trafficking through a holistic, faith-based approach. We are looking
forward to building our own network of programs, similar to what we have in Cambodia, as well
as supporting existing organizations that align with our mission.

As of early 2023, our team is in the beginning stages of establishing an aftercare program to
provide care to underage survivors of trafficking.

February 2023 Update

A few years ago, you went above and beyond to help fight human trafficking in Belize!

Our partners at Agape International Missions wanted to share a special message of appreciation for the ways that your generosity is making a difference:

We're very grateful for your support and partnership. Things in Belize are very exciting right now – we've been training staff, and working to intake some of the first victims of trafficking.
This is something that we were dreaming about a few years ago, but because of your partnership, we're beginning to serve victims of trafficking in Belize with Christ's love today.
We've been operating in Cambodia for about 17 years seeing amazing transformation there, and we're excited to see that same impact happen in the country of Belize.

Because of your generous gifts, we're laying a foundation to start having national-level impact in the country of Belize.

Because of your generous gifts, we're laying a foundation to start having national-level impact in the country of Belize.
We're excited for the partners & local government that we get to work with there and we're excited to see all that God is going to accomplish.
We couldn't do it without your partnership, so we just want to take a moment to say thank you Christ the King."
