We’re past Labor Day now, and this is the time we would usually return to normal schedules, but nothing about 2020 has been “normal.” In fact, it feels really limited because so much of this year has been about what we can’t do. But that is not the full story, is it? As Jesus’ followers, there is so much we can do. But what? If you are feeling a bit helpless, don’t miss a Sunday this fall as we discover how Jesus has empowered us in a way that leads to fulfillment and transformation.
Whether sweet or a bit salty, our emotions help make up who we are - but some of us have a tough time expressing them. Yet, in order to be our best authentic selves, as followers of Jesus, we need to be in touch with our emotions and how to express them in a healthy way. This summer, we are taking a road trip through the book of Psalms and discovering how King David and other Psalmists demonstrate getting gut-honest with God – leading to a closer relationship with Him and other people.
Nobody could have predicted what would happen in the great year of 2020, and guess what? We are only half way through! What’s next? We don’t know the future; however, God does and when we have been shaken to the core, God offers help, healing & hope. In our summer teaching series, “Unshakable,” we'll be talking about how to have resilient faith in an ever changing world.
